DO YOU HELP TREAT CHRONIC ILLNESS, INJURIES, & SKIN ISSUES, & TRAUMA?
*As a Licensed Massage Therapist I can't "treat, diagnose, or prescribe". LMT's have a different scope of practice & training. Massage therapists can manipulate and massage the soft tissues of the human body for therapeutic purpose, Including: muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fat tissue. In the state of CO it's required Massage Therapist apply for their license in order to practice. https://dpo.colorado.gov/MassageTherapy

*I support the wellbeing of individuals experiencing chronic illness & support their quality of life through the theory of Holism. https://www.ahna.org/Home/Resources/Healing-Modalities

*If you are acutely sick, have the cold, flu, or chronic illness flare up, please reschedule your appointment.

*If an injury is acute (beginning stage of healing), please allow up to 2 weeks before Massaging the area. If the injury is local, I can Massage other areas of the body. Massage may be supportive for the injury in the subacute or remodeling stage of healing (in between stage). Gentle Massage & movement may help with scar tissue, adhesions, & increasing function/Range of Motion. Injury Healing Resource https://www.massagetherapy.com/articles/understanding-healing-process

*Open wounds are contraindicated for Massage. Please have them covered, so we can work around the area. If it's a large wound or post surgery, please reschedule.

*Skin conditions like acne & eczema are okay to Massage if the skin isn't broken. Some oils & lotions may irritate it, so being mindful of the products we use in session may be considered. Ex. Fragrance Free ect.

I work gently, slowly, & compassionately with any form of trauma. Massage can be a great tool in conjunction with other therapies to support safety in the body & relaxing the nervous system.
